Originally a design and manufacturing engineer, responsibilities included designing and implementing inventive solutions for a wide variety of issues. Several of these issues were best resolved with developing software to automate manual systems that were error prone, unreliable, and consistency impacted on-time delivery and quality costs.

Further expansion of this skill set resulted in developing programs ensuring new production capabilities were completely digital allowing data collection for all aspects of the manufacturing process. This production capability integrated network capable low voltage hardware into the machinery which would transmit information to the database in addition to interfaces for operators at each process step to capture operational data for the system.
